About

When I was a child, my mother introduced me to something that would ultimately change the course of my life. I have always been a curious mind.

I wanted to explore and experience everything that I could. What I couldn’t experience for myself, I would live vicariously through stories being told.

I loved learning what it was like to feel new emotions I had yet to discover. Relishing in the excitement, the sadness, the vulnerability, the fear, and the expansion of my understanding. Acting and theater were the keys that opened the doors of possibilities for me.

I learned of stories and adventures I could only dream of. However, this time, I wasn’t just watching the stories be told, I was becoming them. Telling the stories myself means that I get to study and understand them in a way that satisfies my curiosity unimaginably.

As I got older, I wasn’t just having fun but also educating the audience. I found stories that showcased important themes in a raw, unfiltered, and human way. Seeing yourself in a work of art can trigger a desire for action because it can illuminate the unconscious pain or ignorance within. Bestowing a person with the gift of feeling seen and understood is extremely fulfilling to me. It is my reason for consuming art; I believe it to be everyone's reason.

Embodying someone's experiences gives you access to a complete other level of empathy. As an actor I get to spread the thing that the world will always need more of. Telling the stories that constantly faces erasure as “progression” is made. Telling these stories of defies the gravity of the hands that want to keep people down, by making their pain known. Making it real, right in front of them.
